Feeding the Future was born from a crisis that revealed both a need and an opportunity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, communities across the country—particularly Indigenous and underserved communities—experienced severe food insecurity. Yet many of these same communities hold deep agrarian roots and ancestral knowledge that once sustained their people for generations. What they lacked was not the will or the wisdom to feed themselves, but access: access to land, training, markets, and the systems needed to produce culturally meaningful food locally.
Trilogy Beef Community, LLC and long-time agricultural mentor Manny Encinias witnessed this need firsthand as they worked shoulder-to-shoulder with local producers to get food to families during the pandemic. They saw that when communities are empowered with the right tools, they don’t just feed themselves—they build sovereignty, restore cultural practices, and revitalize local economies.
Founded in 2021, Feeding the Future was created to make that empowerment possible. By pairing equitable land access with hands-on, culturally grounded mentorship, Feeding the Future equips farmers, ranchers, and food leaders to reclaim their agricultural heritage and build independent soil-to-plate food systems.
From 100 acres of irrigated farmland at Buffalo Creek Ranch to apprentice programs and regenerative soil initiatives, Feeding the Future is creating a model where communities produce what they eat, keep value local, and steward the land for generations.

WHAT WE DO
We deliver a comprehensive “Soil to Plate” development model that integrates:

Land Access:
100 acres of irrigated farmland at Buffalo Creek Ranch (BCR) available for community farmers and ranchers to learn to grow. -
Regenerative Agriculture Training:
Mentorship in ancestral and climate-smart farming, soil health, livestock management, and pasture restoration. -
Skills-Based Apprenticeships and Certifications:
Specialized training to enhance skill set development and entrepreneurial opportunities. -
Business Development & Technical Assistance:
Feasibility studies, market strategies, enterprise planning, and supply-chain design. -
Soil Health Innovations:
Community access to compost, bio-char, and bone-char amendments produced onsite. -
Local Food Market Integration:
The Buffalo Creek Ranch Market will offer produce and proteins grown directly on the land—completing the soil-to-plate system.
